The short of it
I went to school back east earning a degree in Marketing. After graduation I traveled up the turnpike and began my career in NYC around some the best people in the business. I learned, I grew, I had a good time. I love that city. I then built brands in probably the most beautiful place on earth - Denver, Colorado. I worked on some national accounts, finally finding a home at JWT. For six years I lead the regional creative for Ford Motor Company, leaving as a Vice President.
Now it’s the PNW and I’ve been busy. I gave a new voice to a healthcare provider while giving voice to a new human, a little girl specifically. I went back to school and can now solve any double integral you give me but I’ve missed the creative. For the last 3 years I’ve been pursuing an Engineering degree (honor roll GPA) but it just doesn’t excite me the way being creative does. I don’t heart it.
They say when you love what you do it’s not work, that’s how I feel about advertising. I may have taken some time away from agency life, but I never stopped watching, I never stopped thinking about how it could be better. Sometimes it takes stepping back to gain a better perspective. That’s what I’ve done.
